De veldgezangen van Thyrsis : gesierd met toegepaste zinneminnebeelden
A Dutch pastoral song cycle, Willem Mylius's shepherd verses of Thyrsis fitted with love emblems, printed by Hendrick van Damme at Leiden in 1702 with plates by Hendrik Eland for Dutch readers of emblem literature. The plates are small framed landscape engravings built from dense hatching, with silhouetted trees, water, distant towns and a single emblematic object set centre stage; the initials are foliate blocks of leaves, fruit and scrollwork.
