Style (1893)
A fashion periodical or trade publication issued in Toronto in 1893, aimed at clothiers, hatters and their customers, and held by the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library. Its 305 wood-engraved images mix ornamental drop initials — letters wrapped in fur, feathers, ribbons and Romanesque scrollwork — with shaded product cuts of top hats and garments, giving designers ready-made display capitals and isolated menswear objects on plain grounds.
