Dictionnaire des arts décoratifs à l'usage des artisans, des artistes, des amateurs et des écoles
A French illustrated dictionary of the decorative arts compiled by Paul Rouaix and published in Paris by the Librairie Illustrée in 1880 for craftsmen, artists, collectors and trade schools. Line engravings catalogue ornament by type: pilaster panels of scrolling arabesque, chased metal mounts and hinges, fluted ewers with hallmarks, and rococo cartouches framed by figures — usable as outline stock for borders and frames.
