A multi-volume reference dictionary of print artists and their engraved works, compiled by Karl Heinrich von Heinecken and printed by Johann Gottlob Immanuel Breitkopf at Leipzig in 1778 for collectors and connoisseurs of prints. The pictures are small letterpress woodcut ornaments: headpiece bands of scrolling foliage and urns, putti arranging flowers on hatched plinths, and a helmeted profile medallion framed by garlanded columns.
