Dictionnaire des arts de peinture, sculpture et gravure
A five-volume French dictionary of painting, sculpture and engraving compiled by Claude-Henri Watelet and Pierre-Charles Levesque, printed in Paris by L. F. Prault in 1792 for artists, collectors and academicians. The pictures shown are small letterpress ornaments: flower baskets, bouquets, rocaille cartouches with crossed tools, and a monogram wreathed in foliage and rays, usable as spot devices, headpieces and chapter breaks.
