Dictionnaire des figures héraldiques
A multi-volume French-language dictionary of heraldic charges compiled by Count Théodore de Renesse on J. B. Rietstap's armorial, published in Brussels in 1894 for genealogists and armorial researchers. The cuts are small line-engraved shields, each charge drawn in outline with hatching and stipple standing in for tinctures: leaves, towers, double-headed eagles, hares' heads, spurs, horse brasses.
