An archaeological and art-historical study by Franz Bock of Byzantine cloisonné enamels in Alexander von Zvenigorodski's collection, printed in Aachen in 1896 for collectors and church-art scholars. Halftones and line plates record jewelled reliquary crosses, hinged triptychs and book covers, with saints in frontal poses, Greek inscriptions, gem settings and repeating palmette borders usable as ornament and frame stock.
