Die graphische Darstellung von Naturereignissen
An art-historical study by Ernst Konrad Stahl, published in Munich in 1916 for students of Dürer and early German woodcut, examining how natural events were rendered in print. The plates reproduce Apocalypse woodcuts in dense black line: scalloped cloud banks, straight-ruled rays of light and rain, hatched smoke, trumpeting angels and enthroned figures, usable as line-art textures for skies, radiance and weather.
