A German survey of Islamic art by the Austrian historian Ernst Diez, published in Berlin-Neubabelsberg in 1917 for students and scholars of architecture and ornament. Halftone photographs of mosques, tombs and ruined iwans in Persia, Egypt and Central Asia sit beside line sections and plans; useful for pointed-arch profiles, brick patterning, muqarnas vaults and high-contrast silhouettes.
