Karl Woermann's German art-historical study of landscape in ancient art, published in Munich by T. Ackermann in 1876 for scholars and students of painting. The plates are outline lithographic copies of Assyrian reliefs and Campanian wall paintings, captioned by culture, showing stylized trees, garden pavilions, colonnaded courts and tondo architecture that suit line-art borrowing, pattern building and antique motif work.
