Die Plastik der Ägypter
A survey of Egyptian sculpture by art historian Hedwig Fechheimer, published in Berlin by Bruno Cassirer in 1922 for German readers of art history and collectors. The 191 halftone plates isolate single carvings against dark grounds — block statues, kneeling figures, stelae with hieroglyphs — yielding strong silhouettes, raked side lighting, and eroded stone surfaces usable as texture and cut-out shapes.
