Die rheinischen Glasmalereien vom 12. bis zum 16. Jahrhundert
A German survey of Rhenish stained glass from the twelfth to sixteenth centuries, compiled by Heinrich Oidtmann and his son and published in Düsseldorf in 1912 for art historians and glass painters. The plates are halftone photographs of windows and fragments: standing saints under arches, medallion panels with scrolling vines, and grisaille grounds of quarry glazing, oak and vine leaves, rosettes and quatrefoils, all reduced to hard black lead lines against mottled grey glass.
