A German technical handbook on sulphur dyes, their manufacture and use, written by Otto Lange and published by O. Spamer in Leipzig in 1912 for dye chemists and textile factory engineers. The plates are fine-line engineering drawings in elevation and section: dye vats, drying and calendering cylinders, spoked gearwheels, belt and pulley drives, coiled pipe runs and brick furnace settings, usable as hairline linework, machine silhouettes and cutaway diagram patterns.
