A trade sample book of wool dyestuffs issued by the Bayer Company in New York in 1913, printed in German and English for textile dyers and mill buyers. The two images are the embossed cloth covers: an allover Art Nouveau repeat of stylized tulips and whiplash stems in pale olive on cream, centred on a shield-shaped cartouche framing a seated figure \u2014 usable as a tiling background, a border field, or a cartouche template.
