A municipal building code digest issued by the City of Boston in 1901 through its Municipal Printing Office, compiling statutes and ordinances on construction, maintenance and inspection for builders, architects and inspectors. The plates are hand-colored line diagrams: plans and sections of chimneys, floor framing, brick walls and joist bearings, printed in flat orange, yellow and green washes with hatching, plus outline drawings of fittings, useful as schematic architectural motifs and technical page ornament.
