Il ritratto di Milano : diuiso in tré libri
Carlo Torre's guide to the churches, monuments and antiquities of Milan, first written in the 1670s and reissued by the Agnelli press in Milan in 1714 for local clergy, antiquarians and visitors. The plates are fine-line engravings of church facades, piazzas with carts and small figures, and close records of carved arcaded tombs, mixed with coarse woodcut vignettes and foliate initials framing grotesque masks.
