Directions for making Poncetto lace
A short instruction pamphlet on making Poncetto needle lace, written by Theresa Rizzi and printed in Valsesia, Italy, in 1917 for lacemakers and needleworkers. The plates are photographs of finished lace strips laid on black cloth, showing geometric mesh grounds and deep pointed scallops that read as high-contrast white line on solid ground, usable as border rules, repeating edge motifs, and openwork pattern fills.
