The discharge of electricity through gases : lectures delivered on the occasion of the sesquicentennial of Princeton University
A printed set of physics lectures by J. J. Thomson, given at Princeton University's sesquicentennial and published by Scribner in New York in 1898 for physicists and advanced students. The 31 figures are line diagrams of laboratory glassware and apparatus — evacuated bulbs and tubes with internal electrodes and vanes, mercury reservoirs, coils and wiring traced in thin outline with letter labels — usable as technical apparatus silhouettes, schematic vignettes, or reference for early electrical equipment.
