Dissegni d'architettvra civile et ecclesiastica
Guarino Guarini's posthumous folio of architectural designs, engraved by Giovanni Fayneau, Francesco Guienotti and Antonio Verga and issued in Turin in 1686 by the heirs of Gianelli, addressed to builders, patrons and fellow architects. Copperplate elevations, cutaway sections and ground plans pair each church or palace facade with the geometry beneath it, offering ribbed dome webs, lantern silhouettes, banded pilasters and compass-drawn plan diagrams that read well as line ornament or diagrammatic framing.
