Dissertationes IX, antiquitatibus, quin et marmoribus : cum Romanis, tum potissimum Graecis, illustrandis inservientes
Nine Latin dissertations on Greek and Roman antiquities and inscriptions by the Dutch scholar Antonius van Dale, printed in Amsterdam in 1702 by Henricus and the widow of Theodorus Boom for antiquarian readers. The plates here are printer's woodcut tailpieces: symmetrical scrollwork cartouches with acanthus wings, masks and cherub heads, useful as section breaks, frames and monogram surrounds.
