Raffaele Garrucci's archaeological dissertations on Latin inscriptions, printed in Rome in 1869 for antiquarians and epigraphers. The plates are pencil-grey facsimile rubbings and traced copies of carved stone lettering — Roman capitals, cursive scratched script, fragment edges and a leaf-and-band border — useful for letterform reference, weathered texture, and epigraphic layout.
