Diverse imprese accommodate a diuerse moralità, con versi che i loro significati dichiarano insieme con molte altre nella lingua italiana non piu tradotte
An Italian-language edition of Andrea Alciati's emblem collection, printed at Lyons by Guillaume Rouillé in 1564 with woodcuts credited to Pierre Eskrich, aimed at humanist readers who paired moral verses with pictures. The cuts are small emblem scenes set in strapwork frames crowded with grotesque masks, rams' heads, volutes and swag-hung tablets, useful as border stock, cartouche shapes and mask ornaments.
