A Roman pattern book of antique ornament engraved by Carlo Antonini and published by Casaletti in 1781 for painters, sculptors, stonecutters, stuccoists, silversmiths, embroiderers and cabinetmakers. The plates are tall line engravings of candelabra, tripods and bases drawn from ancient fragments, with hand-lettered captions, acanthus sheaths, griffins, eagle and lion-paw feet, and fluted shafts usable as column motifs or repeatable borders.
