D. Johannis Tackii ... Triplex phasis sophicus solis orbe expeditus humanaeque fragilitati & spei resurrectionis rerum consecratus
A Latin alchemical treatise by the German physician Johann Tacke, printed at Frankfurt in 1673 by Zubrodt and Schönwetter for learned readers of medicine and natural philosophy. The pictures are letterpress woodcut ornaments and one emblematic vignette: strapwork cartouches hung with tassels and bead swags, foliate headbands with perched parrots, winged cherub heads flanked by eagles, and a scene of crowned figures beside a landscape roundel under a radiant sun — usable as rules, corner pieces and frames.
