Dod's peerage, baronetage and knightage, of Great Britain and Ireland, for ... : including all the titled classes
An annual reference directory of British and Irish titled families, compiled by Charles R. Dod and continued by Robert P. Dod, published in London by Whittaker and Co. in 1866 for genealogists, heralds and readers of society and public life. The plates are small wood-engraved coronets of rank — duke, marquess, earl, viscount, baron, and the royal crown — drawn in dense hatching with pearls, strawberry leaves and jewelled rims, useful as compact heraldic marks, crests for monograms, or ornaments for headings and spines.
