Dressmaking
A 1917 sewing textbook by Jane Fales, published in New York by Charles Scribner's Sons for home dressmakers and students in domestic-science classes. The plates are small halftone and line diagrams of fabric pieces in flat grey tones — seams, plackets, hem facings, gore shapes and letter-keyed construction steps — useful as simple geometric shapes, stitch textures and instructional-diagram conventions.
