The dress you wear and how to make it
A 1918 dressmaking and sewing manual by Mary Jane Rhoe, published in New York and London by G.P. Putnam's Sons for home sewers and students learning garment construction. The plates are line engravings of cloth corners, folded hems, and stitched seams rendered entirely in ruled parallel hatching and diagonal shading, offering designers ready-made texture fills, fold and drape conventions, and small repeated stitch marks usable as rules and borders.
