A Latin rebuttal of Galileo's Dialogo, written by the French natural philosopher Claude Bérigard and printed in Florence by Pietro Nesti in 1632 for university scholars and astronomers. The scanned pages are mostly limp vellum and laid-paper surfaces with foxing, ink stains and a handwritten date, punctuated by small woodcut geometry diagrams of lettered triangles and sightlines that can be lifted as line art or used as aged paper grounds.
