Duccio
A short 1908 monograph on the Sienese painter Duccio di Buoninsegna, published by Bates and Guild in Boston as part of a series of inexpensive artist studies for students and general readers. The plates are grey halftone photographs of panel paintings and altarpiece sections — enthroned Madonnas with angels, crowded haloed apostles, gabled panel frames — usable for haloed head clusters, punched gold-ground patterns, and pointed-arch panel shapes.
