An Italian antiquarian treatise of 1750, printed in Venice by Giambattista Albrizzi, in which Lodovico Coltellini presented four Etruscan bronzes with their inscriptions to the Accademia Etrusca of Cortona, for scholars and collectors of antiquities. The engraved headpieces and tailpieces show small landscapes framed by rococo cartouches with scrollwork and shells: harbour views with sailing boats, ruined arches, round towers, bridges, and tiny walking figures, useful as ready-made frames, vignette borders, and stock ruin scenery.
