The dyeing of paper pulp; a practical treatise for the use of papermakers, paperstainers, students and others

Erfurt, Julius · 1901 · London, Scott, Greenwood · 19 pictures

A practical manual on dyeing paper pulp by Julius Erfurt, published in London by Scott, Greenwood in 1901 for papermakers, paper-stainers and technical students. The plates are tipped-in specimens of dyed pulp: single horizontal rectangles of tinted paper mounted on pale leaves inside thin black rules, giving flat fields of ochre, buff, yellow, olive and grey with visible fibre speckle, stains and foxing — usable as ready-made color chips, paper textures and framed blank panels.
