Early Christian numismatics, and other antiquarian tracts
Antiquarian tracts on early Christian coins, gems and symbolism by C. W. King, published in London by Bell & Daldy in 1873 for collectors and archaeologists. Wood-engraved line copies of engraved gems and coins show oval intaglio fields holding janiform heads, radiate deities with trident and caduceus, serpent-entwined figures and Laocoön-like groups, usable as compact emblems, seals and rounded cartouches.
