Early speeches of Abraham Lincoln, 1830-1860
A 1909 American edition of Abraham Lincoln's speeches from 1830 to 1860, compiled for general readers and collectors and preserved in the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection. The plates are coarse-screen halftones of studio photographs and interiors: Lincoln seated with his son over an album, Mary Todd Lincoln in a flower-trimmed hoop gown, and a bare wheeled table with draped cloth, useful for period costume silhouettes and grainy monochrome texture.
