Pompeiana : the topography, edifices, and ornaments of Pompeii
An archaeological survey of Pompeii's streets, buildings and decoration, written and drawn by Sir William Gell with the architect John P. Gandy and engraved under Charles Heath, issued in this London edition by Chatto and Windus in 1875 for antiquarians, architects and travellers. The plates are line-and-stipple engravings of excavated colonnades, tomb-lined roads and broken Corinthian capitals, with small figures for scale, ruled plans and isolated ornament motifs.
