The effect of fillets on the strength of cast iron machine parts
An undergraduate engineering thesis by Harry John Klotz and Paul Keiter Miles, submitted at the University of Illinois in 1912, testing how fillets affect the breaking strength of cast-iron machine parts. The plates are plain ink outline drawings of V-shaped bracket specimens with ringed ends, each marked by a ragged fracture line, offering repeatable diagrammatic silhouettes and hand-drawn crack marks.
