An 1897 wholesale furniture catalogue issued by Emerson & Son of Milford, New Hampshire, for dealers ordering chairs, dressers, bedsteads and case goods by model number. The 125 engraved plates show single pieces in flat elevation or slight three-quarter view, with stippled and wavy hatching standing in for figured oak grain, cane seats rendered as fine cross-mesh, and scrolled crest rails, turned spindles and stamped drawer pulls drawn as isolated silhouettes on plain ground.
