Elementa matheseos universæ ... : qui commentationem de methodo mathematica, arithmeticam, geometriam ..
Christian Wolff's Latin course of universal mathematics, issued in Geneva by Marc-Michel Bousquet in 1732 and covering mathematical method, arithmetic and geometry for university students; the copy scanned belonged to John Adams. The plates are engraved sheets of numbered geometric diagrams — triangles, circles with tangents and chords, parabolic curves, hatched rectangles — drawn in thin line with letter labels and ruled captions, usable as grid arrangements of spare technical figures.
