An elementary treatise on optics
An 1867 college textbook on optics by Isaac Wilber Jackson, professor at Union College, published in Schenectady, New York, for students beginning the study of light. The plates are numbered line diagrams engraved in thin black rule on cream paper: ray bundles converging on lenses and mirrors, circles crossed by tangent lines, prism dispersion fanned out and labelled violet and red, and caustic curves drawn in dotted arcs.
