Elementos de histología normal y de téchnica micrografica para uso de estudiantes
A Spanish histology and microscopy textbook by Santiago Ramón y Cajal, published in Madrid by Nicolás Moya in 1897 for medical students. The 195 line engravings show tissue seen down a microscope: branching nerve cells, layered retina and cortex, nerve bundles in cross-section, epithelial mosaics with labelled letters, hatched backgrounds and stippled cell bodies usable as abstract pattern or diagram.
