Elements of the art of dyeing; with a description of the art of bleaching by oxymuriatic acid
A two-volume English technical treatise on dyeing and chlorine bleaching by Claude-Louis Berthollet and his son Amédée, translated and enlarged by chemist Andrew Ure, printed in London by Tegg in 1824 for dyers, bleachers and manufacturing chemists. The plates are engraved sections and elevations of mill machinery — geared wheels, rollers, vats and furnaces — rendered in flat grey wash with fine hatching, useful for mechanical diagram motifs and cutaway forms.
