A university astronomy textbook by Devendra Nath Mallik, printed by Cambridge University Press in 1921 for students working through positional and spherical astronomy. The plates are plain line diagrams set into letterpress pages — circles for sun, Earth, moon and planets, tangent lines marking shadow cones and phase boundaries, lettered points and numbered figure captions — useful as thin-stroke geometric marks, orbit schematics and labelled construction drawings.
