Elements of astronomy /
A school astronomy textbook by John H. Wilkins, issued in Boston by Hilliard, Gray and Co. in 1835 for American academy and high-school students. The plates are sparse copperplate line diagrams: gridded globes and armillary spheres, elliptical orbits with dotted sightlines, spiky rayed suns, Saturn with its ring, and lettered figure keys, useful as clean geometric line art and engraved celestial symbols.
