Elements of electricity, magnetism, and electro-dynamics
A college physics textbook on electricity, magnetism, and electro-dynamics compiled by John Farrar from Biot and Despretz for Harvard students, published in Boston by Hilliard, Gray and company in 1839. The plates are dense fold-out sheets of numbered outline engravings: batteries, jars, coils, horseshoe magnets, balances, rotating frames and wiring diagrams, drawn in thin line with no shading, useful as ready-made libraries of small apparatus silhouettes and schematic symbols.
