A school textbook of geometry and trigonometry, Legendre's treatise revised by Charles Davies and published by A.S. Barnes in New York in 1856 for American students and teachers. The plates are small line diagrams printed from wood engravings: circles with inscribed polygons, cones and cylinders shown in outline, arcs, chords, and lettered construction points, usable as spare geometric line art, diagram motifs, and lettered figure sets.
