Ricardo Sepúlveda's 1888 historical and literary study of the Hieronymite monastery of San Jerónimo el Real, published in Madrid by Fé for Spanish antiquarian and church-history readers. The plates are wood-engraved chapter tailpieces: symmetrical acanthus-scroll cartouches, a grotesque mask pair flanking initials, and foliate drops, usable as spot ornaments, section dividers or monogram frames.
