A Spanish painter's treatise and artists' manual by Antonio Palomino, first issued in the early eighteenth century and reprinted in Madrid by Sancha in 1795, with plates engraved by Juan Bernabé Palomino for painters and students of perspective. The engravings pair a proportioned nude and gridded head studies with ruled perspective diagrams, shading scales, receding Corinthian colonnades and lettered construction lines, giving designers ready-made geometric scaffolding, measured figure charts and architectural recession schemes.
