A Dutch emblem book by Zacharias Heyns with engravings by Jan Gerrits Swelinck, printed in Rotterdam by Pieter van Waesberge in 1625, pairing Christian and moral emblems with verse for pious readers. Alongside emblem plates it carries woodcut initials built from fruit-laden branches, leaf sprays and dense strapwork scrollwork, usable as drop caps, borders and ornament motifs.
