Emblemata et epigrammata miscellanea selecta ex stromatis peripateticis
A Latin emblem book and collection of epigrams by the Geneva theologian Antoine de La Faye, printed by Pierre and Jacques Chouët in 1610 for scholarly readers. The index holds its printer's ornament: foliate headpieces and lozenge-shaped scrollwork blocks, an inhabited initial S, and manuscript ink notes, all printed on toned paper with visible show-through worth borrowing as texture and spot ornament.
