Emblemata politica : in aula magna Curiæ Norinbergensis depicta : quæ sacra virtutum suggerunt monita prudenter administrandi fortiterque defendendi rempublicam
A Latin emblem book of 1617 engraved by Peter Iselberg with verses by Georg Remus, reproducing the painted emblems of the great hall of Nuremberg's town hall as moral counsel for city magistrates. Each plate sets a motto in a banderole above an oval scene — Fortune on her wheel, a walled town, figures in a landscape — framed by strapwork cartouches and fine hatched skies.
