Emblemata politica : in aula magna Curiae Noribergensis depicta, quae sacra viritutum suggerunt monita prudenter administrandi fortiterque defendendi rempublicam
An emblem book of political maxims engraved by Peter Iselberg with Latin verses by Georg Remus, published at Nuremberg in 1617 to record painted emblems in the city council chamber and instruct magistrates. Each plate sets a scene — Fortune on her wheel, a walled town, fighting goats, men at a tree — in an oval within a strapwork cartouche with a motto tablet above.
